Oh I love my baby she’s the best in the world She’s the one I’d want sit and watch me grow old and talk about how we met when we were just teens
When my baby takes a stumble and gets hit pretty hard I’ll pick her up kiss her and hold her in my arms and we’ll sing about playing the show everyone will come and see
Oh whenever we toss and turn under the sheets We’ll sing each other lullabies about how when we fall asleep We’ll play together out of bed in our dreams
And whenever my baby sees that I’m feeling blue She’ll play me a song, and make up the prettiest tunes and she won’t give up until I join in and once again start to sing
Oh I love my baby and her light, light skin and the softness of it at my finger tips and those beautiful birthmarks just look so damn clean
And when we grow old and our time has come near we’ll watch the sunset and wait for the stars to appear I’ll pick her up, pluck her strings, and sing about how our love will last for an eternity
